Itinerary
Day 1 Origin > Yellowknife > Aurora tour
Arrive in the capital of the Northwest Territories - Yellowknife. Transfer to the hotel in city center. In winter there is no cloud in the sky which makes Yellowknife the world's best place to view aurora. The hotel is located near commercial streets and restaurants, all within walking distance. Around 10 pm, transfer to aurora viewing site. Stay in a lodge with hot drink and snacks while waiting for the aurora.
Day 2 Ice-fishing > City tour > Aurora tour
In the morning learn about the aboriginal way of fishing. Catch fishes over a frozen lake and make them into delicious lunch. Afternoon is a 2-hrs city tour of Yellowknife. Learn about the their culture and traditional lifestyle. A range of winter activities are available for optional. At night the second time of aurora viewing.
Day 3 Dog-sledding > Aurora tour
*3-Day tour ends with departure back to origin.
*4-Day tour itinerary:
After a leisurely morning is an exciting winter activity - traditional dog-sledding. At night the third time of aurora viewing.
Day 4 Yellowknife > Origin
Transfer to the airport and go back home.
**Stay in Days Inn or Quality Inn or similar. Hotel upgrade available.
**Include winter clothing (coat, pants, boots, gloves, hat)
