Famous Hollywood films like The Postman and Swordfish have shot here due to the breathtaking views. Stay in Holiday Inn or similar.
Day 3 Crater Lake National Park
Crater Lake inspires awe. Native Americans witnessed it form 7,700 years ago, when a violent eruption triggered the collapse of a towering volcano. Scientists marvel at its purity: fed by rain and snow, it’s the deepest lake in the USA and perhaps the most pristine on earth. Artists, photographers, and sightseers stand in wonder at its blue water and stunning setting. Be amazed by this spectacular view!
Day 4 Maryhill Stonehenge > Columbia Gorge / Vista House > Multnomah Falls
Travel along the magnificent Columbia Gorge. First we come to the Maryhill Stonehenge, a replica of Stonehenge in England that was commissioned in the early twentieth century. Visit the Vista House at Crown Point, an observatory on a rocky promontory that is 733 feet (223 m) above the Columbia River. Experience the power and beauty of nature up close with Multnomah Falls, the second tallest year-round waterfall in the US. Return to Portland by the evening. Stay in Holiday Inn or similar.
Day 5 Seattle > Vancouver
Heads towards Washington and arrive in Seattle by noon. Walk around the Fishermen’s Terminal or try a clam chowder and fish & chips at one of the seafood restaurants. At the Pike’s Market, taste what’s in season at a farm stand. Listen to a Motown or bluegrass classic from buskers while marveling over the creativity of the goods in the crafts market. Stop at the duty-free on the way back to Vancouver.
